As so many people know, this weekend is The Weekend to End Breast Cancer® in Canada, organized by the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. This June 6-7, 2009 thousands of women and men will be participating in this special event walking 60 kilometres to support breast cancer and other women's cancers research, and services through the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
According to the National Cancer Institute of Canada, approximately 21,100 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and about 5,400 will die from the disease. And there are many other cancers that also affect women. That's why they are walking so far, to do something bold about breast cancer and other women's cancers.
One of my best friends is participating in this incredible adventure and It will be amazing if you would share this information and support them in their fundraising efforts.
